The offer can be used by a private individual, a sole trader as well as a commercial company.

What does it mean that I am renting a group, not a particular car?
We own over 20 groups of cars in Hertz. Each group owns its own special features. Having reserved a group, you are assured the car you will be given (or similar) is of the same requirements within size, engine power, gearbox type etc.

Are all the cars insured?
Yes, all of the cars in Hertz are insured within comprehensive cover and liability insurance.

What insurance options are effective within the rental period?
Basic insurance options:
- Collision Damage Waiver(CDW) – an option limiting the responsibility in case of a collision,
- Theft Protection (TP) – an option limitng the responsibility in case of theft and a avandalism act
Extended insurance option:
- Super Cover (SC) – an option abolishing the responsibility in case of collision and theft
WARNING: The above options do not include:
- Refuelling with a wrong fuel type
- Damage of accessories(navigation, child/booster seat belonging to the rental house)
- Damage / loss of the keys, documents
- Non-compliance with the terms of the rental.

To what amount am I responsible for the damage or theft of the car?
All of our rentals include basic insurance options, Collision damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP). It means that if the damage or theft takes place through client’s fault, but the Terms and Conditions are not violated, the client is responsible only until a settled amount. This amount depends on the group of the car. If the damage or theft takes place because of the third parties, the client will not be charged provided that the police report stated guilt on the other part.
Depending on the group size, the excess is 2200 PLN net, 3500 PLN net or 6500 PLN net.
Having bought the SC option, the excess is not applicable and you abolish the responsibility in case of collison or theft.

What should in case of a bump or other accident?
If you partake in the bump or accident or there is any damage to the car, contact your Assistance number provided in the agreement immediately or contact the rental point. In case of lac of possibility of the contact, it is required to report the incident to the police and ask for the report and contact Hertz as soon as it is possible.

Can I go abroad with Hertz cars?
Trips abroad with Hertz cars are allowed within the European Union, Norway and Switzerland only after consultation with and reporting to Hertz.

What age is required to rent a car?
To rent a car at Hertz you have to be at least 25 and own a driving license valid for at least 1 year. It is possible to buy out an additional option to rent and drive a car by individuals who are 21 or over.

What documents will I obtain at the point for signing?
Before the rental the driver will obtain the rental agreement including the terms and damage report. In the report there will be marked potential damage acts made to the car, which could result from the previous usage of the car.

How to check the car before the rental?
Spare as much time as you need. Assess the visual state of the car both internal and external. In case of any doubts ask our employee to mark the unreported damage in the report.

What to pay attenton to when returning the car?
Returning the car remember to park it in a destined spot. The spots are marked with Hertz logo. If there are any doubts, please contact the Hertz point, from which your cas was rented. Remember to take all of your belongings with you. If there is new damage, report it to the employee. Remember to shut the car. Return the keys at the point or leave them at the keybox (a box for keys and parking tickets) when our point is closed.

Do I need to return the car refuelled ?
At Hertz you are always given a car that is refuelled. It needs to also be returned with a full tank. In case when you return the car unrefuelled, there will be additional charge added.

What tyres will the car be issued with?
Hertz cars are equipped with multi-season tyres. Winter tyres at an additional cost.

Should I perform the periodic maintenance recommended in the service book by the vehicle manufacturer during the rental period?
Yes, it is the responsibility of the vehicle user to ensure that inspections are carried out on time.

Who should I contact in case of tyre-related problems, technical issues or for service?

Can i return the car earlier than I planned?
Yes, after contacting the Sales Department before.

What payment methods are accepted at car rental?
To rent a car with Hertz, you need to have an oblique credit card or a debit card without MOTO blockade (manual transactions enabling the pre-authorization of means during the rental) written out on the driver’s name. Cash payment is not accepted. For companies, payment by bank transfer is possible after signing the agreement.

How can I sign the agreement?
We sign the Framework Cooperation Agreement after verifying the company in question. One of the documents required is the financial statements.
